Amazon's Carbon-Free Energy Projects Boost US Economy by $11 Billion
A new study by Oxford Economics has revealed that Amazon's carbon-free energy projects have contributed nearly $11 billion to the U.S. GDP from 2023 through 2025, supporting nearly 22,000 jobs annually.
The analysis found that these investments enabled billions in estimated tax revenue for local communities, with a total contribution of $61 billion in GDP and support for roughly 23,500 jobs annually by 2034.
Average Americans are benefiting from these projects, not just through new job opportunities but also through lower electricity rates. For example, Entergy Mississippi reports that revenue from large customers like data centers is helping keep electricity rates flat during peak summer months.
