Amazon has made a change to its order emails that is frustrating some customers. The e-commerce giant now uses generic subject lines and descriptions, rather than exact ones, which can make it difficult for buyers to keep track of their orders.

The change was made for privacy reasons, Amazon told Business Insider. It's also designed to direct customers to the company's app and website for the latest information on their orders.

However, some customers are not happy with the new system, which requires them to click through to see details about their orders.

One Reddit post has attracted 450 comments over the last two months, with many users expressing frustration at the change.
