AMD Aligns with Nvidia on Price Hikes Amid Memory Crisis
AMD has confirmed it will raise Radeon GPU and GDDR6 memory kit prices by at least 10% starting in August. The company had finalized this increase last month but delayed its implementation until after Nvidia's price hike, which was announced in late July.
The move aligns both vendors on upstream price increases, eliminating the competitive window that made Radeon cards relatively more affordable for buyers. Nvidia raised its prices in late July, and AMD followed suit soon after.
This is not the first time AMD has increased GPU kit prices this year, as it did so by approximately 10% in July. However, the new price hike is part of a larger trend driven by the memory crisis affecting the industry.
