Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) has surpassed $1 trillion in market value for the first time, making it the fourth American chipmaker to achieve this milestone after Nvidia, Broadcom, and Micron.

The company's stock price rose nearly 10% on Monday to a record high of $615.52 per share, pushing its market capitalization past the $1 trillion mark.

This surge is largely attributed to AMD's growing presence in the AI market, with CEO Lisa Su stating that 'AI is driving a significant expansion in demand for compute across all of our markets.'

The company has secured major deals with Anthropic, OpenAI, and Oracle, which will deploy up to 2GW of AMD's Instinct MI450 GPUs in their systems. This partnership is expected to accelerate AI adoption at scale.
