AMD Joins Trillion-Dollar Club as Chip Stocks Surge

Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) has become the latest US chipmaker to surpass $1 trillion in market capitalization, joining a group of mega-cap companies including NVIDIA (NVDA), Broadcom (AVGO), and Micron Technology (MU). The milestone comes as chip and AI stocks experience broad gains, with AMD shares rising over 9% on Monday to reach an all-time high. In fact, the company's stock has gained more than 173% so far this year.

According to Seeking Alpha's Quant ratings, Micron Technology tops the list of stocks with market capitalizations above $1 trillion, with a score of 4.99 (Strong Buy). NVIDIA and Amazon.com follow closely behind, with Quant ratings of 4.96 and 4.95, respectively. Broadcom carries a 4.71 rating, also in the Strong Buy category.

Other trillion-dollar companies on the list include Alphabet (GOOGL), Apple (AAPL), Microsoft (MSFT), Berkshire Hathaway (BRK.A), Meta Platforms (META), Eli Lilly (LLY), and Tesla (TSLA). However, these companies all carry Hold ratings based on their respective Quant scores.
