Kuehne+Nagel, the Swiss freight company, has entered into a long-term strategic collaboration with Amazon. The deal includes support for Amazon Web Services and is expected to strengthen customer services for Amazon.

The collaboration is designed to enhance supply chain resilience and efficiency, according to Kuehne+Nagel's statement. As part of the agreement, Kuehne+Nagel shares will rise by up to 5.2% following a milestone-based call option tied to existing shares over up to seven years.

The deal comes after Klaus-Michael Kuehne, the majority owner and founder's grandson, passed away last month. The company has expanded under his leadership, becoming one of the world's biggest sea and air freight forwarders with a staff of 88,000.
