American Airlines Unveils Most Premium Plane Yet: 70 Business Class Suites
American Airlines has unveiled its most premium plane yet, featuring 70 business class suites and 44 premium economy recliners. The Boeing 777-300ER aircraft will initially fly between Dallas and London, with plans to upgrade its entire fleet of 20 planes next year.
The new layout comes at the expense of American's international first class, which will slowly be removed from the airline's offerings starting November 19, 2026. Passengers ticketed in business class will be able to select one of the Flagship First seats at no extra charge on planes that still have them.
The Boeing 777-300ER features a 1-2-1 configuration for business class and a 2-3-2 configuration for premium economy. The aircraft also offers free high-speed Wi-Fi for AAdvantage members, as well as power outlets and Bluetooth connectivity for entertainment systems.
