American Express, the NBA, and the WNBA have expanded their longstanding partnership to a global scale, marking the first season of international activations. The multiyear deal includes the NBA G League and NBA Take-Two Media, extending American Express's role as the Official Payments Partner. The company will serve as the Presenting Partner of select NBA Houses, offering immersive experiences like viewing parties, meet-and-greets, and merchandise sales in international markets.

American Express will also be an Associate Partner for key NBA Global Games, including sold-out events in Mexico City, Paris, and Manchester. The company maintains relationships with several NBA and WNBA teams, including the Brooklyn Nets, Chicago Bulls, Utah Jazz, and New York Liberty. Elizabeth Rutledge, Chief Marketing Officer of American Express, emphasized the unique power of sports to bring people together, highlighting the global appeal of basketball.

Under the renewed agreement, American Express is deepening its presence with the WNBA and beginning a new partnership with USA Basketball. The company will offer Card Members access to purchase tickets for select events, including the USA Basketball Showcase and the AT&T WNBA All-Star Game. Additionally, American Express and the NBA will launch a program with NBA ID, allowing eligible Card Members to link their Card to NBA ID for special perks.

The partnership includes a range of fan experiences and season-long perks, such as priority entrances, merchandise discounts, and exclusive perks at select NBA arenas. American Express will also offer NBA 2K27 in-game perks, Jersey Assurance for fans who purchase jerseys, and special hospitality access for NBA All-Star and AT&T WNBA All-Star events.
