American Express is expanding its travel benefits by adding Airbnb bookings to its Amex Travel™ site. This move allows cardholders to earn elevated rewards on Airbnb stays, with the Platinum and Business Platinum cards offering 5X points on prepaid bookings made through the platform.
The company is also updating its annual lodging credit rules. Starting January 1, 2027, both The Hotel Collection and Fine Hotels + Resorts® bookings will require a minimum two-night stay to qualify for the $600 Hotel Credit. Previously, Fine Hotels + Resorts had no such requirement, providing more flexibility for cardholders.
In addition to these changes, Amex is introducing a new $250 annual statement credit for Airbnb Experiences. This credit can be used for activities like cultural tours or food experiences, enhancing the overall travel experience for cardholders.
For Business Platinum cardholders, Amex is introducing a new perk: complimentary access to American Express® ZO coworking spaces. This includes unlimited access to ZO Clubhouses and four guest day passes per week, along with four complimentary day passes per month for Studio locations. Cardholders can also receive up to $500 in statement credits per year for event space bookings or Dining Club memberships at these locations.
