Amex Cardholders Can Now Use Their Card for Airport Lounge Access
For American Express cardholders who have Priority Pass membership through their card benefits, a new convenience has been introduced. Instead of needing to present a physical or digital Priority Pass membership card at participating lounges, members can now use their physical Amex card as an alternative form of entry.
This change applies only to travelers who receive Priority Pass as a benefit of an eligible American Express card, such as The Platinum Card from American Express. Eligible cards include The Platinum Card from American Express, The Business Platinum Card from American Express, and Marriott Bonvoy Brilliant American Express Card.
The update doesn't expand lounge access or change existing benefits, but it does provide another way to verify membership at participating lounges. Priority Pass advises members that payment-card entry is available only for eligible card-linked memberships, and recommends checking with their issuer to determine if this option is available to them.
