American Express has expanded its Centurion Lounge footprint to continental Europe with a new location at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol (AMS). The lounge, which opened on September 17, covers nearly 6,000 square feet and offers travelers a range of amenities.

The space blends contemporary design with local touches, including artwork by Dutch artists and blue, green, and earth tones paired with warm wood, brass, and black quartzite. Floor-to-ceiling windows fill the space with natural light.

Audrey Hendley, president of American Express Travel, said that the team aimed to bring local art to the forefront in the lounge's design. 'Using local artisans, everything from art fixtures to the art on the walls, even the ceramics. All of those things bring it together in a very different way,' she stated.

The menu features seasonal dishes inspired by Dutch and regional European flavors, alongside a full bar with locally inspired mocktails and cocktails. The Blue Roast Coffee Bar serves locally sourced coffee, nodding to Amsterdam's cafe culture.
