Amex GBT Consolidates in Manchester with Freetrade Building Lease
American Express Global Business Travel (Amex GBT) has signed a five-year lease for 5,422 sq ft of office space at the Freetrade Building in Manchester city centre. The letting was arranged by Clearbell Capital and CBRE on behalf of Amex GBT.
The space is located within the Grade II listed Victorian building, which has been redeveloped to provide modern amenities and sustainability credentials. This move marks a consolidation of Amex GBT's presence in Manchester, where they have maintained an office for over 15 years.
'Amex GBT's decision to consolidate their 15-year Manchester presence at Freetrade is a strong endorsement of the workspace we've created,' said Ben Tolhurst, asset management director at Clearbell Capital. 'It shows that established businesses are actively seeking out the combination of heritage, modern amenities and sustainability credentials that Freetrade offers.'
Sophie Davies, head of HR UK and Ireland at Amex GBT, added: 'Manchester has established itself as one of the UK's most dynamic technology hubs. We wanted a workspace that matches the ambition and energy of Amex GBT. This new space is designed to help our growing team do their best work.'
