Amgen Irish Open Brings Thousands to West Clare

The Amgen Irish Open golf tournament is expected to bring thousands of spectators to West Clare next week, prompting road closures and changes to public transport in the area.

Closures will be in place on the N67 and R484 from 6am on Friday, September 11 until 11.59pm on Monday, September 14, with diversions available via the N67 towards Kilkee and Kilrush and the R483 towards Cooraclare.

Spectators travelling to the tournament must use designated Park and Ride facilities or shuttle buses, as parking will not be allowed at the golf club or in its immediate surroundings.

A free Park and Ride service will operate from two locations from Wednesday, September 9 to Sunday, September 13, with additional shuttle services running from Kilkee, Kilrush, and Miltown Malbay to Doonbeg Golf Club.
