Amgen Scholars Program Expands to India with Cutting-Edge Research Projects

The Amgen Scholars Program has expanded to India for the first time, with IIIT Hyderabad as its inaugural host. The program, which began in 2006, allows undergraduate students to work alongside renowned faculty on real-world scientific challenges.

This year's cohort of 10 scholars from India and across Asia is focused on interdisciplinary research at the intersection of artificial intelligence, computational biology, healthcare, and biotechnology. They are working on projects such as enhancing clinical decision-making and diagnostic precision through advanced machine learning.

The program provides financial assistance to students and travel support for them to present their research at the Amgen Scholars Asia Symposium in Tokyo. The scholars also benefit from a comprehensive blend of professional development and cultural immersion, including industry visits and social events.
