Android's Stealthy Storage Solution: When Less is More

They chose to compare the native Device Care storage suite in One UI with Files by Google and SD Maid SE, a popular power-user cleanup tool.

The writer found that Files by Google provided a seamless experience when it came to deleting unnecessary files, including screenshots, unused apps, large files, recordings, and downloaded files. They also noted that the interface was intuitive and made cleanup easier.

On the other hand, SD Maid SE did not reveal as much clutter as expected, clearing only 17kB of superfluous data and 0 bytes of orphan files. The writer concluded that while it's a powerful tool for power users, casual users may not need it.
