Anna Jones Joins Sports Stars at Amgen Irish Open Pro-Am

Anna Jones, a Westmeath sportsperson, participated in the Amgen Irish Open Pro-Am at Doonbeg, Clare. The event brought together stars from various sports, including GAA, rugby, and boxing, alongside professional golfers like Rory McIlroy, Shane Lowry, Jon Rahm, and Brooks Koepka.

Jones, who plays golf in Mullingar, was part of the GPA (Gaelic Players Association) team that entered the tournament. She said she's 'very lucky to be a part of this' and mentioned being one of the lower-handicapped players for the ladies football side.

The 2026 Amgen Irish Open ran from September 12-13 at Trump International Golf Links Ireland. Jones played alongside Ryan O'Donoghue (Mayo Footballer) and Cliona O'Callaghan (Cork camogie) in a one-day event, with Michael Hollick as their professional.
