AP Cabinet Approves Rs 22,178 Crore in Investments
The Andhra Pradesh Cabinet has approved investment proposals worth Rs 22,177.84 crore, which is expected to create around 19,739 jobs. The proposals include energy projects worth Rs 5,176.56 crore, which are expected to generate 2,240 jobs. These projects include a 675-MW solar project in Sri Sathya Sai district and solar-wind hybrid projects in YSR Kadapa and Kurnool districts.
The cabinet also approved Industries and commerce proposals worth Rs 4,332.49 crore, which is expected to create 4,885 jobs. These include a Rs 3,000-crore greenfield project by My Home Industries in Palnadu district and an initial `100-crore investment by Caterpillar.
The cabinet also approved the allotment of 400 acres to Goa Shipyard Limited (GSL) for setting up a brownfield shipbuilding and ship repair facility at Machilipatnam Port with an investment of about Rs 8,000 crore. This facility is expected to create around 8,000 jobs.
