Apple Expands Tap to Pay on iPhone to Eight More Latin American Countries
Apple has expanded its Tap to Pay on iPhone feature to eight more countries in Latin America. The expansion brings Apple's payment acceptance feature to Argentina, Colombia, Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, Guatemala, Honduras, Panama, and Peru.
The feature allows businesses to accept contactless payments without dedicated payment terminals using only a compatible iPhone and supported app.
Tap to Pay on iPhone works with the iPhone XS and newer running the latest version of iOS. Customers can hold a contactless debit or credit card, iPhone, Apple Watch, or another supported digital wallet near the merchant's iPhone to complete a payment over NFC.
