Apple Joins Screenless Fitness Tracker Fray with New Device
Apple is reportedly developing a screenless health and fitness tracker to rival WHOOP and the Fitbit Air. The device, still in its early prototype stage, may not launch before 2028.
According to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, Apple has been exploring this idea for several months and is now working on prototypes. These prototypes consist of a thin fabric band with a sensor-equipped computing module, but no display.
The potential tracker has attracted interest from Apple Executive Chairman Tim Cook and services chief Eddy Cue, as well as members of the Vision hardware team.
