During his leadership, Apple's revenue grew from $350 billion to over $416 billion, while its market value increased from around $350 billion to approximately $4.6 trillion. Cook described working with Apple employees as bringing out the best in him and praised the company's culture as a key factor in its success.

Ternus, a 25-year Apple veteran, will become CEO after leading hardware engineering since 2021 as senior vice president. He has been responsible for major product development across various Apple products, including the iPhone, iPad, Mac, AirPods, and Apple Watch.
