Apple Stock Jumps 1% Amid Optimism for New Product Cycle
Apple's stock price rose by 1% during mid-day trading on Friday, reaching an intraday high of $334.54 and closing at $333.69.
This increase in value comes amidst a new product cycle that is supporting revenue expectations, with Morgan Stanley modestly raising its revenue forecast and Counterpoint Research projecting 6 million sales of Apple's first foldable iPhone Duo this year.
The positive sentiment surrounding Apple's new products has also attracted investor interest, with the company pushing beyond the iPhone to develop new wearables and connected-device ecosystems.
However, not all analysts are optimistic about Apple's prospects. Morgan Stanley cut its price target to $355 from $360 while maintaining an Overweight rating, citing higher memory and component costs as well as possible iPhone pricing pressure that could offset revenue benefits from product launches.
