Apple to Pay Quarterly Dividend, Former Execs Set for Big Payout
Apple is set to pay its next quarterly dividend on August 13 to all shareholders owning the stock by August 10. The ex-dividend date for this payment marks the deadline for investors to buy shares in order to receive the $27 per 100 AAPL shares dividend.
The yield on Apple's dividend is relatively small at just 0.36%, but it can be expected that equity price growth will make up for these fixed payments. This means that investors may focus more on long-term gains rather than short-term dividends.
Apple's former CEO Tim Cook, who owns around 3.35 million shares, is set to receive $905,000 from the dividend payment. Meanwhile, Arthur Levinson, Apple's largest individual shareholder, will take home approximately $1.01 million.
