Apple TV Dominates Emmy Awards, Bolsters AAPL Services Business
Apple TV, the streaming platform from Apple AAPL, has solidified its position in the premium streaming market after winning 29 awards at the 78th Primetime Emmy Awards. This milestone marks a significant achievement for the platform, with Widow's Bay leading the charge as the most awarded freshman comedy series in history.
The series secured 14 awards, including Outstanding Comedy Series, and also received honors for acting, writing, and directing. Other Apple TV titles such as Pluribus, Slow Horses, Margo's Got Money Troubles, Palm Royale, and Mr. Scorsese contributed to the total of 29 wins.
Apple Originals have now accumulated 917 awards and 3,827 nominations since the streaming service launched. This success is expected to strengthen Apple's Services business by attracting viewers and supporting subscriber engagement.
