Apple's Foldable iPhone Duo Priced at C$2,999, A Test of Pricing Power
Apple's Canadian launch announcement reveals that its first foldable iPhone, called the Duo, will start at C$2,999. This price is a test of Apple's pricing power as much as product engineering.
The Duo costs C$1,250 more than the 256GB iPhone 18 Pro, which starts at C$1,749, and is almost as highly valued by Apple as the Pro phone underneath it.
At C$2,999, the Duo offers a 7.6-inch inner display that opens to reveal a 5.4-inch outer screen when closed. It also comes with storage choices ranging from 256GB to 2TB and is available in star white or night sky.
The phone's A20 Pro processor, dual-battery design, and custom vapour chamber are intended to preserve Pro-level performance in the thinner chassis.
