Archer Investment Corp Takes a Stake in Amazon.com
Archer Investment Corp purchased 17,498 shares of Amazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ:AMZN) stock in the second quarter, according to its latest SEC filing.
The purchase was valued at approximately $4,170,000 and represents a new position for the fund.
This is not an isolated incident; multiple hedge funds have modified their holdings of AMZN over the past few months. Fox Hill Wealth Management, Vermillion & White Wealth Management Group LLC, Henson Edgewater Management LLC, Beacon Pointe Advisors LLC, and Kimelman & Baird LLC all acquired new stakes in Amazon.com during the second quarter.
These purchases demonstrate confidence in Amazon's prospects, which have been bolstered by its strong earnings report. In July, the company exceeded analysts' expectations with a net income of $5.75 per share and revenue of $200.61 billion.
Despite these positive developments, some investors remain concerned about AI spending outpacing monetization. Goldman Sachs estimates that hyperscalers may need an additional $300 billion in AI revenue to justify their investments.
