Arista Networks Surges into S&P 100 with Record Revenue
Arista Networks has been added to the S&P 100 index, effective September 21. The company's stock price closed at $199.59 on September 11, a 5.61% jump due to a broad bid across networking names.
CFO Chantelle Breithaupt highlighted two key statistics: multiyear purchase commitments reached $9.7 billion at the end of Q2, up from $3.6 billion a year earlier, and deferred revenue tells a story about customer acceptance timing, which can be noisy on a quarter-to-quarter basis.
Arista's record Q2 2026 revenue of $3.036 billion pushed management to raise full-year guidance to roughly $12.6 billion, its third raise this year. The stock trades at a trailing P/E above 60 and a forward multiple near 43, well above peers like Cisco and Ciena.
