Figment Movie Still Alive, But Progress Slow Says Seth Rogen
Seth Rogen's production company Point Grey has been developing a film based on Disney's popular EPCOT attraction Figment for over four years. The project was announced in 2022, with Rogen set to produce and potentially voice the character. However, since then, there have been no updates on the film's progress.
A recent interview with Entertainment Weekly provided some insight into the project's status. When asked about the film, Rogen clarified that he was only producing it, not voicing the character as many had assumed. He also stated that he would 'get back to' the interviewer and needed to 'kick the tires on that one', suggesting that the project is still alive but may be on hold.
The return of Dreamfinder in the revamped Journey Into Imagination attraction at EPCOT has sparked renewed interest in a Figment movie. However, with the confirmation that the character will remain at EPCOT, some fans are questioning whether a film is still necessary.
