Aristotle Capital Management Cuts Microsoft Holdings by $145 Million
Aristotle Capital Management LLC has significantly reduced its holdings in Microsoft Corporation (MSFT), according to a recent filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission. The fund sold 145,065 shares during the first quarter, reducing its stake by 4.1%. This move leaves Aristotle Capital Management LLC with approximately $1.25 billion worth of MSFT stock, accounting for about 2.6% of its portfolio.
The software giant's latest earnings report showed stronger-than-expected profitability and revenue growth, including a significant increase in Azure sales. Microsoft's AI investment has also been generating returns, reinforcing the view that substantial investment is beginning to pay off. Institutional investors continue to favor MSFT over some other mega-cap technology names.
Aristotle Capital Management LLC is not alone in its reduced holdings. Longfellow Investment Management Co. LLC boosted its position in Microsoft by 51.3% during the second quarter, while Fairway Wealth LLC raised its stake by 287.0%. Other institutional investors and hedge funds have also made significant changes to their MSFT holdings.
