Google Photos Adds Retro Film Frames and Digital-Camera Looks with New Moods Feature
Google Photos has introduced a new editing feature called Moods that uses AI to add color edits to existing images. The feature, which is rolling out globally across both Android and iOS devices, offers eight presets with various effects such as retro film frames, digital-camera looks, and movie-inspired color grading.
The presets include Airy Minimalist, Crisp 35mm, 2000's Cinema, Rich Textures, Pink Digicam, Retro Contrast, Night Lights, and 2000's Night. Users can also dial down the intensity of these filters to achieve a more subtle effect.
According to Shimrit Ben-Yair, VP at Google Photos, Moods will be available for all users worldwide, with Android devices receiving it first followed by iOS devices.
