Army Captain Sues JPMorgan Chase Over Alleged Racial Discrimination

A former Army captain has filed a federal discrimination lawsuit against JPMorgan Chase, alleging she was fired due to her race and sex.

The woman, who served as an executive director at the bank's Incident Management unit, claims she lent $5,000 to a new hire in 2023 to help cover his relocation costs.

According to the complaint, the new hire repaid the loan in two installments, but the subordinate who made the accusation against her contacted him and asked for a false statement supporting their claim of coercion.

The bank's Global Security team allegedly conducted a biased investigation, assigning it to an investigator who was 'adversarial and highly combative' and did not consider her side of the story.
