Ask Maps Rolls Out in Australia with Real-Time Information and Personalized Suggestions

Google Australia has rolled out Ask Maps in English, marking its biggest transformation in over a decade. This new feature brings together Gemini capabilities and the world's freshest map to provide users with real-time information and personalized suggestions.

The live transit board in Ask Maps updates automatically, giving users instant access to up-to-date information on ferries, buses, and trains. For example, if a user asks about getting to Taronga Zoo with views of the Opera House by ferry, they'll see all their options at a glance, including live delay alerts.

Personal Intelligence in Ask Maps also allows users to securely connect their Gmail account and other apps like Calendar. This feature automatically factors in upcoming events and gives relevant suggestions without requiring users to explain their existing plans.
