Tambrands, Inc., owned by Procter & Gamble, has received approval from the Auburn city planning board to expand its facility on Hotel Road. The expansion includes adding two new warehouses, one at each end of the facility, totaling around 137,950 square feet.

The existing warehouse will no longer be needed for off-site storage, eliminating logistics costs associated with shipping raw materials and finished goods. According to Tambrands' engineering director Danielle Brown, this change will also reduce traffic in the area by decreasing the number of trucks coming in and out.

The new warehouses are part of a $40 million expansion project that does not plan to increase production or employee numbers at the facility. To accommodate the changes, a new entrance will be added further down Kittyhawk Drive, as the current entrance on Kittyhawk Drive will be closed.
