A rebound in U.S. stocks occurred in August, reversing earlier fears over artificial intelligence threats and slower growth.

The shift was attributed to a combination of factors, including promising earnings reports and changes in supply and demand.

Moderna was one of the top gainers in the S&P 500 returns for August, after announcing positive results from an experimental melanoma vaccine co-developed with Merck. The company's shares had been under pressure following a decline in COVID-19 vaccine demand.

Enterprise software stocks also experienced a significant rebound, as concerns over AI replacing existing industries began to ease. Palantir, Veeva Systems, Salesforce, and ServiceNow were among the companies that saw their shares rise after facing selling pressure earlier in the year.
