AutoZone Brings Third Location to San Marcos Development Hub

A new AutoZone store is set to open on San Marcos' southwest side near multiple major developments, according to Texas Department of Licensing and Regulations filings.

The auto parts retailer will build a 7,147-square-foot shop at the intersection of I-35 and McCarty Lane, an area seeing significant business growth. This marks AutoZone's third location in San Marcos.

Construction on the new store is scheduled to begin on August 7 and be completed by January 6, 2028. The intersection has several planned developments underway, including a 52,460-square-foot Rooms to Go and a large Home Depot.
