Avalon Trust Co Acquires Stake in The Travelers Companies, Inc.

Avalon Trust Co has acquired shares of The Travelers Companies, Inc. (NYSE:TRV), purchasing 8,734 stocks valued at approximately $2,883,000.

This is according to Avalon's most recent 13F filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) for the second quarter.

The institutional investor acquired these shares during a time when other investors were also adjusting their stakes in TRV. Vanguard Group Inc., for example, boosted its holdings by 0.5% in the fourth quarter.

In addition to Avalon's new stake, The Travelers Companies has seen significant revenue growth, with $12.15 billion in quarterly earnings that beat consensus estimates.
