The film's encore performance helps set the stage for the upcoming release of Avengers: Doomsday in December. Meanwhile, other movies vying for box office attention include Resident Evil, which crossed the $100 million mark domestically after adding a projected $23.3 million over the weekend, and Heart of the Beast, which grossed an estimated $20 million across North American screens.
