Almonty Stock Soars 11% on Stifel Buy Recommendation Amid Tungsten Price Uncertainty
Almonty's stock surged 11% on Friday to close at EUR 12.09, following a fresh buy recommendation from Stifel that differed from Goldman Sachs' more cautious assessment issued just one day earlier.
The two analyst initiations paint starkly different pictures of the tungsten producer's near-term prospects. Stifel began coverage with a Buy rating and a price target of USD 25.00, citing Almonty's expansion of tungsten capacity within Western spheres of influence.
In contrast, Goldman Sachs opted for a Neutral stance with a USD 13.00 target, pointing to an expected normalization in tungsten prices and a slower ramp-up at the Sangdong mine in South Korea than the market is currently pricing in.
