Axis, Cisco Unite Physical Security Management Under One Roof

Axis Communications and Cisco are joining forces to simplify physical security management for large organizations. The integration of Axis devices into the Cisco Meraki Dashboard aims to bring together IT and security teams under one platform.

The partnership uses Axis Cloud Connect, an open hybrid cloud platform that connects devices at the network edge to cloud services. This allows administrators to see device status, connectivity, and AXIS OS versions in a centralized dashboard.

Cisco offers two options for managing supported Axis devices: Essentials provides basic management and insights, while Advantage adds historical video access, analytics, and 30 days of cloud storage.

Christian Andersson, Global Product Manager for Axis Cloud Connect at Axis Communications, calls the partnership a blueprint for converged enterprise systems. Jonathan Cohn, Senior Director of Product Management at Cisco, says customers can now expand their systems with Axis devices without adding complexity.
