Bamboo Airways Grounds Scheduled Flights Amid Fleet Reduction

Bamboo Airways, Vietnam's young airline, has halted its scheduled flights just months after reviving plans to acquire Boeing 787 and 737 MAX aircraft through a lease. The airline's website currently shows 'no flights found' on major domestic routes, and it is operating limited charter flights this month.

The carrier had significantly reduced its fleet from eight to three aircraft, with only one operational plane remaining. VN-A227, an Airbus A321-200, is servicing the few remaining flights. The last scheduled service for Bamboo Airways is set for August 22.

While charter flights between Da Nang International Airport and Macau are still operating, Bamboo's future remains uncertain. The airline has apologized to affected passengers and is providing refunds and alternative options.
