US President Donald Trump has thanked Bangladesh Prime Minister Tarique Rahman for purchasing Boeing aircraft in a deal valued at $3.7 billion.

The order includes eight Boeing 787-10s, two Boeing 787-9s and four Boeing 737-8 MAX aircraft, with the first delivery expected in November 2031.

The Boeing deal is part of Bangladesh's efforts to strengthen trade ties with the US and reduce its trade deficit. In April 2026, Bangladesh placed an order for another 14 Boeing planes, bringing the total number of Boeing aircraft operated by the country to 28.

Trump also mentioned that he looked forward to meeting the Bangladesh prime minister, indicating a possible future meeting between the two leaders.
