Barclays Reiterates Hold on Chevron Amid Mixed Analyst Opinions

Barclays has reaffirmed its Hold rating for Chevron (CVX) in a report released today. Analyst Betty Jiang, who covers the Energy sector and focuses on stocks such as Devon Energy and Diamondback, maintains her price target of $208.00.

Jiang's average return is 3.9% with a success rate of 51.41% on recommended stocks. In addition to Barclays, Chevron also received a Hold from TD Cowen's Jason Gabelman in a report issued on August 5, but J.P. Morgan maintained a Buy rating on CVX just the day before.

Chevron reported quarterly revenue of $67.2 billion and a net profit of $12.07 billion for the quarter ending June 30. In comparison, last year the company earned a revenue of $44.38 billion and had a net profit of $2.49 billion.
