Bell, Cisco Team Up on Sovereign AI Infrastructure for Canadians
Bell Canada has partnered with Cisco to provide sovereign AI infrastructure for its Canadian customers. The memorandum of understanding, signed on September 29, utilizes Cisco's AI, networking, security, and infrastructure technologies.
The partnership aims to help Canadian organizations deploy, secure, and manage AI infrastructure within the country while giving customers more flexibility in accessing and scaling their sovereign AI capacity.
Bell has been expanding its presence in the AI sector, with a planned Saskatchewan data centre quadrupled from 300 megawatts to 1.2 gigawatts, according to BCE chief executive Mirko Bibic.
