Benavente Middle School Students Paint Healthy Choices Mural

A collaborative project between Thrive, Benavente Middle School administration and students, and the Dededo Mayor's Office brought a vibrant wall mural to life. The mural was created over the summer with the help of local artist Lee San Nicolas, also known as FueKing.

The message 'Be Tough, Don't Puff!' is a call to action against vaping and underage cannabis use. By incorporating student ideas into the design, the project gave youth an opportunity to have their voices reflected in a message promoting healthy choices.

The mural was made possible through generous donations from Home Depot and Guam Home Center. Their support, along with the collaboration of the school, students, community partners, and artists, helped turn the students' vision into a lasting work of art.
