BigHand Shifts BI Solution to Microsoft Fabric for Unified Law Firm Data
BigHand is shifting its Business Intelligence solution to Microsoft Fabric, allowing law firms to integrate their financial and operational data in one place. This move creates a new option for firms looking to balance building their own intelligence with leveraging existing technology infrastructure.
The transition will see existing BigHand BI 4.0 Cloud customers migrate to the new architecture in September at no additional cost. This change brings over 600 pre-built financial and operational measures into the Microsoft environment, giving law firms a ready-made foundation for analyzing profitability, work-in-progress, realization, utilization, cost allocation, and performance.
According to Brian Taaffe, BigHand's Senior Director of Platform & Data Strategy, 'Law firms want greater ownership and flexibility around their data, but they shouldn't have to spend years recreating the intelligence needed to make that data useful.'
The move reflects feedback from BigHand clients who are looking to align their business intelligence with their existing Microsoft infrastructure. By integrating with Fabric, law firms can connect BigHand's financial intelligence with data from CRM, HR, time recording, billing, and matter management systems.
