BioscienceLA Week Brings Life Sciences Innovators Together
BioscienceLA Week returned to Los Angeles from September 29 to October 1, bringing together innovators and investors in life sciences. The event featured immersive summit events in West Hollywood, Downtown LA, and Culver City, with panels, expert speaker presentations, workshops, and networking opportunities.
Stephanie Hsieh, CEO of BioscienceLA, emphasized the importance of transforming the biosciences industry in Los Angeles to become a global leader in health and life science innovation. The region has seen significant growth over the past decade, with nearly 116,000 bioscience industry jobs as of June, according to SoCalBio.
On September 29, Investors & Innovators Day was held at the Pacific Design Center in West Hollywood, featuring pitch sessions, panels, and networking opportunities. Amgen Executive Director Benedict Chu delivered opening remarks, highlighting the company's role in founding BioscienceLA and its commitment to cultivating partnerships in the biosciences ecosystem.
