Boeing 737 Max Glitch Cleared as Safe by FAA Panel
A Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) panel has cleared a software glitch affecting Boeing Co. 737 Max aircraft, determining it does not pose a safety concern.
The issue occurs when a pilot needs to abort a landing attempt, forcing the autopilot into a simpler level of automation for pitch control.
Pilots retain full control of the aircraft and receive clear and unambiguous indications from the flight crew, according to the FAA's Corrective Action Review Board.
The review board stated that it will consider further actions as needed.
