Boeing 737 MAX Software Glitch Affects Indian Airlines

A software glitch has been detected in some Boeing 737 MAX aircraft operated by Indian airlines. According to reports, as many as 96 planes could be affected, with Air India Express owning 53 of these and Akasa Air operating 43.

The issue lies in the automated flight guidance system, which can become unavailable under certain conditions during landing. Boeing has informed operators about the problem and is carrying out a software update to fix it.

Air India Express has not yet commented on the matter, while Akasa Air stated that they are working with Boeing to resolve the issue. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has also remained silent so far.
