Microsoft Updates Copilot with Three Distinct Modes for Enhanced Productivity
Microsoft has introduced an updated version of its Copilot tool, which now features three distinct modes. The new Copilot aims to help users work more efficiently by bundling specific AI-powered features in each mode.
The three new modes are Home, Code, and Autopilot. The Home mode includes Microsoft's AI-powered Chat and Cowork tools, designed to focus on day-to-day tasks while working. Cowork allows users to delegate tasks and have them completed end-to-end by the tool.
Copilot will soon become more intuitive, allowing users to simply say what they want done and having the AI automatically decide which tools to use.
The Code mode is designed with developers in mind, enabling users to describe an app or workflow in natural language and have Copilot build it. Autopilot serves as a digital assistant for Copilot, working in the background on automated functions leveraging agentic capabilities.
