Boeing 787 vs Airbus A350: Which Long-Haul Aircraft Reigns Supreme?

The Boeing 787 Dreamliner and Airbus A350 are two of the most popular widebody passenger aircraft in commercial aviation, designed to make long-haul flying safer, faster, and more efficient. However, they target different parts of the market.

The Boeing 787 family comes in three variants: the 787-8, 787-9, and 787-10. The 787-9 has a maximum range of 8,300 nautical miles and can seat between 250 to 325 passengers in a typical two-class configuration. This makes it ideal for airlines serving long-distance routes with moderate demand.

The Airbus A350 competes at a larger scale, with the A350-900 offering three-class seating for 300 to 350 passengers and a maximum range of up to 8,600 nautical miles. The A350-1000 is even larger, with three-class capacity of 350 to 410 passengers.
