Boeing August Jet Deliveries Slip to 51 Aircraft

Instruments
BA
Share

Boeing's August commercial jet deliveries fell to 51 aircraft, down from 53 in July and 57 a year earlier. The decline is modest but significant for the US-based plane maker. Boeing's monthly orders and deliveries remain closely watched as the company works to increase production and convert its large backlog into cash flow.

The company recorded 15 gross orders during August, with no cancellations. This brings the total net orders booked so far this year to 453. Boeing ended August with a substantial unfilled commercial aircraft order backlog of 6,755 units.

Boeing's stock price edged higher on Wednesday, bucking a weaker broader market trend. However, the technical trend remains weak, and analysts have expressed caution. The company has a consensus Buy rating from analysts, with an average price forecast of $273.13 per share.
